Both clusters look to be fine (no errors/connectivity issues and VMs been running on them for long), source vSAN cluster has Warning on Limits hence the reason why I want to migrate this VM before I start upgrading the hosts.
Agree on vmkping and small test VM that they are not really valid tests due to VM size/long hours it takes.
Unfortunately only 2 vmdk with one of them holding around 95% of the data
vMotion is shared with management on 1 Gbps uplinks on Standard vSwitch, the next option looks like to be shutting down the VM first and then try to migrate again (cold migration)
Open to any other suggestion (if any) and yes will consider moving this to General vSphere sub-forum in case I am out of options if the above fails.

Users automatically see their own deployments.
Support Users in a business group can see all deployments of all users in that business group. Whether they can see Day-2 actions depends on how the entitlements are configured.
As you put all departments into the same business group you cannot prevent Support Users from one department from seeing deployments belonging to another department, but they can be prevented from seeing Day-2 actions as mentioned.
Ideally if you want the departments to be completed isolated, using native vRA functionality, you will need to give them separate business groups.
Unless I'm misunderstanding the question?

Has anyone managed to get the free Windows 10 upgrade tool to work?
There is an article on CNET today saying that curiously, the microsoft windows 7 to 10 upgrade tool still works.
I spent hours trying to get it to work in 2016 before losing interest in this academic exercise when Microsoft officially announced that the free upgrade program had ended.
DId anyone ever manage to upgrade a Fusion installation to 10 please?

Domain function level - Windows Server 2019
Hello
i would like to build a Horizon 7.10 environment in my lab. I’m not sure if I can install a Windows Server 2019 with AD role. I see in the installation guide 2 “domain function level up to Windows Server 2016”. Does that mean I can only install Windows Server 2016 for AD role?
Same docs says connection server supports Windows Server 2019.

If are you behind a Proxy make sure you have configured vRA 8 to run under a Proxy (it does not currently support authenticated proxies)

Windows 2000 graphical glitch in game
I'm trying to run this game within VMWare on Windows 2000 called "A2 Racer 4: De Politie Slaat Terug". It's a Dutch game from the year 2000.
It is also known as A2 Racer IV: The Cop's Revenge or Autobahn Raser 2.
My problem is shown in the below screenshot. There is a black box around every three, that shouldn't be there. Anyone have any idea how to fix this, a different video card driver maybe?

Migrating drives to a new host controller card and re-attaching the datastores?
Greetings,
I've noticed that datastores seem to not like to have their host controller changed. I tried to move one of my drives from the raid controller to my onboard storage controller but VMware lost the link to the datastore and would only let me wipe and reprovision the drive via the UI.
My current raid controller has a drive capacity limit of 2TB and I'm suspect of whether it's beginning to fail or not as I've had an issue with occasional high latency via it.
I plan on dropping in a PCI-E Sata or SAS controller card and moving anything currently on the raid controller onto that.
I would like to migrate the data stores over, is there a simple method for re linking them without having to wipe and rebuild?

VMware Workstation 14.1.6 to 14.1.8 update and guest macOS 10.14.3 boot issue
Dear VMware Community Members,
My host OS is Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1 version 6.1.7601 and I was running VMware Workstation Pro 14.1.6 with the guest OS, macOS 10.14.3 Mojave successfully installed, running and booting up fine.
I then tried to update to VMware Workstation Pro 14.1.8. After successfully doing this, on starting up my macOS virtual machine, I received a similar message to "your computer was not shut down properly... either wait a few seconds or press any key to attempt to restart your computer".
Either waiting a few seconds or pressing any key brings me back to the same screen and the whole process seems to loop.
Questions:
1. Should I have to update my virtual machine hardware machine version number?
2. Is there any way that I can update my VMware version without affecting my guest macOS installation? Any fixes/workarounds?

The T0 router (the SR) lives inside the Edge VM. Because of this it can only connect to the NVDS of the Edge. To achieve what you want you need to create a VLAN-backed segment to connect the uplink of the T0. How did you configure the Edge VM's NVDS and connect its uplinks? The Edge VM has 4 vNICs, one of the for management and the others can be assigned as uplinks of the NVDS. Have you gone through the design guide? It explains edge design very well.

How do I change hostnames of hosts in vCenter for a 2-node vSAN Cluster?
I am creating a Windows AD setup and joined my 2-node vSAN hosts into the domain as well as vCenter, now I want to re-name the hostnames in vCenter for these two hosts in the vSAN cluster from their old hostnames to the new ones.
I am able to change the hostname and domain name/search domain via TCP/IP stack on the hosts but vCenter of course still has the hosts added with old domain name. How do I essentially edit the hostname that vCenter uses to access and work with these hosts?

VM Performance Monitoring question using V Center
Hi every body,
Please consider the following example:
Above we have VM1 and VM3 on an esxi.
Above both VMS are using port-group VM Network on VSW.
With VM 1 selected,we clicked :Monitor> Performance> Advanced> Network>Vmnic0 as shown above, will stats shown are only for VM1 traffic traversing VMNIC0 or for all traffic i.e VM1 and VM3 traversing VMNIC 0?

I did input the email address but nothing email to me 30 days before the password expired. Out VC was configured mail relay to our smtp.
